American Idiot....

I enjoyed Green Days pregame performance on Superbowl Sunday.  Their song American Idiot aptly describes Trump and his minions.

Trump was quick to denounce  Bad Bunny's show as disgusting and the dancers routines as inappropriate.  This is the same racist idiot who posted a grossly inappropriate meme of the Obamas.  How can anyone take any of the garbage he spews seriously?  Yet there are those who do.

Now it matters not if you like or dislike the Superbowl halftime performance there have been others that in my humble opinion have fallen short of expectations. I ask so what?  If I did not like the show I did something else until the show was finished.  Oh but not Trump, he has to make the show about himself. He went on to imply the shows were un-american and oh by the way let's nationalize elections. 

If that thought sounds disconnected, well I did not say it first 

Gutless and mind numb republican minions calling for NFL sanctions, change whatever just to curry favor of a morally bankrupt president ... yeah that's his current job... follow his normalization of hate dividing our country.  I read articles implying closed door opinions are different. I am sorry but griping in the shower does not define morality.  Cowering in public does define lack of a string of characters traits from common sense, decency, morality, kindness, acceptance, respect and so on.  

It is no surprise that Turning Point USA alternative halftime show fell flat on it's face and I did not watch but guessing trump's pregame interview fell flat as well.  Not surprising were next day thank yous to millions of viewers tuning in...really? 

PT Barnum believed that if you tell the biggest fabrication over and over a person will find enough idiots believing the lies are true.

Like or dislike the Superbowl show, who cares. If you liked it you will remember kindly if you didn't then watch the Olympics and revel in the spirit of extraordinary athletes.  Free Speech is constitutionally guaranteed in our democracy, but finding truth is a personal responsibility defined by free will.  Never surrender your God given gift.
